Joseph King of Dreams - Genesis 37-45
“What would our city be like if everyone in this room right now was able to say, God is the reason why I was able to help you? God is the reason why I'm motivated in this area in my life. God is the reason why my life is so blessed. God is the reason why I can forgive a man who made my life a mess. If you start to think that way naturally, you're going to start to use these good times in your life to prepare for times of famine. You're going to see that. The good in your life now is a gift from God, and it's going to help you get through those tough times down the road when you might want to leave your faith. … You're going to love God when you're down then, when you're in prison, when you're in the pit. You love God just as much when you're in that dark pit, when you're in a spiritual prison. You're going to love God in bad times and in good, just like a marriage. So give God the credit, flee from evil, and know that you can find the ability to forgive. Because God can take that evil that was intended to you by all these humans, and he can turn it into a good beyond your wildest imagination. So to those of you who were left for dead, may God lift up your head. Those of you who have listened to what I've said and are fed, God will lift up your head. Those of you for whom Christ bled, God is lifting up your head.”Browse the full sermon archive →
