Genesis 1 26-31

“If anyone in Egypt referred to themselves as the image of God, that would be blasphemy and they would probably be in danger of death, and there's other kingdoms we look at and we see they also refer to the king as the image of God. This single individual monarch was greater than any other in the kingdom. It was a kingdom where one lorded over them all, one human being. Their will was law and there was no judge to appeal to if the king did something wrong to you. No, that's not wrong. What the king does is law. There's no way of him ever committing a crime. Not so in God's kingdom, Not the kingdom that God establishes here on the earth. He inaugurates the human race. He tells us that our face contains the image of God. We're told that all of humanity is created in the image of God. Let us make all humans in our image says God.”
