Father, we thank You for the facts
that You gave through us in Acts.
May we make tracks and plant churches for God.
May You not leave us in the lurches,
but may we purchase
through Your Son our own grace.
Making an about face in this place,
depend upon Your grace.
I ask that You would allow us to read and comprehend
that in the end, we would not pretend
to be friends of God,
but truly be shod with peace.
May we see the church's increase.
May we be released.
May we be empowered.
Lord God, may You shower
upon us that energy
that got us through the first centuries.
May we continue to use Your liturgy,
but every little bit of me
may it also never be false,
though always keeping an eye to the sky on the prize
of the one who did rise from the dead.
May He be the only one by whom we are fed.
May we be led into a new era, Lord God.
May we not be a terror.
Instead, may we correct error.
May we not enter into heresy or be embarrassed by it.
But instead, Lord God, can we move forward
toward our Lord and by His word be His sword.
Lord God, may we be led into a new era, Lord God.
Let us consist in this
peace, hope, joy, and love
for we are His church.
May we be led into a new era, Lord God.
