The Death Psalm - Psalm 22
“We sing sometimes and one of the songs we like to sing, I think it's in Christ alone, and we say that the Father turns his face away. He actually doesn't do that literally. He felt like it did. Jesus says why he forsaken me, but it literally says in the Psalm, he has not hidden his face from him. Now we saw earlier in Psalm 51, God actually literally turns his face from the sin. So he went and turned his face from the sin that was on Christ, but Christ himself, he was always with him. He never forsaken. God was always there. Even as Jesus felt alone, the Father never turned his face from him.”Browse the full sermon archive →
