Forgiving Savior - Psalm 51

“If you hold onto your sin, your heart's going to harden. That's the dangerous thing. It's a hard, That's what griefs the Spirit. Pharaoh's heart got hardened, And then he started doing more and more wicked things. He had a chance and he did, as his heart was hardened, a hard heart will always end in tragedy, my friends. A broken heart can overcome tragedy. … Contrition is not self-flagelation. It's not beating yourself up, okay? … That's another broken thing that you need to bring to God for forgiveness. Conviction, when the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin, that is not condemnation. … Christ is not condemned you. He might convict you. Conviction is just an urging that he moves your heart because you're trying to push down something that you need to let out. You need to let the poison out, and what starts to happen is when you were convicted, God is saying, I want you to reset yourself. I want you to restart. Reset, not resent. You're gonna resent yourself if you keep it in. You're gonna resent yourself, but if you let it open, then you can reset yourself. God can reset you.”
