Through the Roof

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.
— Mark 2:1–12
“I think our work, our job, is to help people experience Jesus. It's Jesus's job to do what he does with them. We bring them together, to experience the love of God. So I pray that we pray for each other, pray for our church, pray for our leaders, pray that we come with this vision and realize how do we be the church without walls for 2018 and beyond. And what I love about what we're doing today, in this circle, is that we're all gathered around the centre. Because this is one thing I've discovered, after this time I've been here, this church, is that we're a lot different. There's a lot of differences amongst us. And this is what's cool: whether you're right or left, you're all looking towards Jesus in the centre. And you look across and you see, that's my family. Whoever is in different places, we can all agree that we need to come to Jesus; we need to bring people to Jesus. This is the beauty of the vision of being a church without walls. And I pray to the Lord give us wisdom and strength and perseverance to actually continue to develop it, so we're going strong for twenty-five years.”
