Get Up (The Groundswell Church)

“This story helps us understand something important. We are the lame man. We too are in need of forgiveness for a sin. We're all broken. We've done wrong things to other people, to ourselves, to the maker of the universe. Every single one of us is broken person in need of a spiritual doctor and we know that God loves us but still we don't go to him to be healed. What is holding you back? Are you afraid of friends or you're afraid of giving up the very thing that hurt and made you sick? Don't forget that this paralyzed man was held back too. We find out that this man had a huge problem. They didn't have wheelchair access. The crowds were so huge that there was no way he'd get inside to the doors. It would have been easy to give up but he didn't. … He did what he needed to get to Jesus. Do what you need to do to get to Jesus.”
