Advent Hope 2022

“The hope that we have is no longer something just about forward expectation. It's actually a living being within us. Our hope isn't just a looking forward to. It's a living through. So God wasn't just becoming flesh and living amongst us. He was going to actually live within us. That's the hope of God with us. He lives in you now. Jesus is living inside each person who puts their faith in Jesus Christ, to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, and we're told that he lives within us. And that changes everything. Because our hope isn't a hope for our future. Our hope is actually Jesus in us. God isn't asking you to hope for something to come. He's telling you that you already have a supernatural hope within you. Okay, Sarah, why do you say that? Let's turn to Colossians 127. It's very clear. To them, God has chosen to make known amongst the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Jesus Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
