A New Creation - 2 Corinthians 5: 14-19
“I'm not saying, obviously life isn't perfect when you're in new creation. There's the hurt, there's the pains, there's the loss. But life is better for being in new creation. This freedom that you have, it's not an illusion of freedom. Oh, I can free you. No, you're really free. You're no longer chained by those sins holding you down. There's a freedom that comes in Christ that you want. The freedom from the habits that you had, the freedom from the expectations people put upon you, and this is the call that we're hearing. Let Christ live in you and through you. Let the new you be released. Allow the Holy Spirit of God to lead you to what is next in the new life, because it keeps growing. What's the newest thing he's bringing into your life? What is the aspect of you being a new creation that he is now trying to bear fruit with? And as you allow him to show that to you, as you allow that new life to awaken in your heart, you start to feel free. You start to be able to share with the reality. You start to be able to just shine the light of Christ. You start to see the world being reconciled to Christ because you are reconciled through him. Live for Christ. His love controls us.”Browse the full sermon archive →
