Prince of Peace, God of War 1

“Very clear here, hatred has no place in the heart of a believer of Jesus. … It's not supposed to be there in the heart of a believer. It's not part of who we are. It shouldn't just strike back out of the anger, distensions and factions, all of these things. Now what, is it supposed to look like? What are we supposed to look like in our hearts? But the fruit of the Spirit is love and joy, peace, forbearance, also known as long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. What would it look like if the people of God looked at the world through these eyes? Love and peace and forbearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control. … What I'm talking about is in our hearts. Where are we as believers? The way of Jesus is a way that renounces violence. That says in its heart, this is not the way God wants the world to be.”
