“When we realize what a child of God is, it means that you have a relationship of trust with God that does not require miraculous exceptions to your limits of your humanity. Being a child of God means trusting despite not getting that miracle. … You're gonna hit times when trusting in God is not easy, and that's why we get pulled in different directions. As you travel the journey with Jesus, there will be temptation. As you are on the way, though you are called to obey, and you're gonna have a difficult journey with Jesus. There's gonna be cliffs of jealousy and ditches of idolatry. Depending on God, it's gonna be hard to keep your feet steady and right on that path. Keeping it in step with the Spirit is your only hope.”
