“Do you hear God's voice speaking over you, declaring, I love you? That's your bedrock identity. … I'm a this and I'm a that. … The bedrock of everything. … That's your identity. … The one issue that we face as Christians is we receive this. You probably, at some point, if you are a Christian, you at some point heard the voice and you knew you were loved by God, and what happens is it's hard to remember that, isn't it? The journey with God, to actually take that and to actually make that real, it's not an easy thing. That's why we're called disciples. The word in the Greek could actually mean apprentices. We're all apprentices of Jesus.”
