“Think about God entering into your family and working through your messed up situation. About God working through your heart and your arrogance and some still building you and using you. For your own envy, your own hatred. The fact that God can help heal and bring that into a beautiful story for all of humanity. You don't know what God is going to do with these stories. What Joseph does is make us get real about our lives. … Don't let them kill your dreams, your God-given dreams in Jesus for your family. Dream of a future of this real family being redeemed somehow, building on this and getting through it. It's going to be perfect. Even if you're going through rough passage, the struggles that Joseph is going through right now. Somehow, God is there. He's in the pit with you. He's also there, hoping to work on the hearts of your captors and your brothers and those who have hurt you. God can take whatever is happening in your story, in your family, in your church. They can write new chapters that we cannot dream about on our own. So let's dream with God.”
