Luke 12 13-21 - The Rich Fool

“But God does not forget. See, God watches all day long, and even if the fool never addresses God once, God will one day address Him. But God said to him, you fool, this very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself? Ouch, God speaks up. God lets His opinion be heard, and this is how He addresses the man. Very sternly He says, you are a fool, and don't think Jesus uses this lightly. If you remember in the servant of Mount, he says that if anyone says to his fellow person, you fool they're in the danger of hell's fire. So calling people fools shouldn't be taken lightly. Luckily, God doesn't call people fools because of his bitterly jealous or his angry and hatred failed. He doesn't use the word fool just to make himself feel better than the other person. That's not God. No, every single action that God makes is righteous, and when he calls a person the fool, it's because they are nothing but foolish. You see the fool? It's a recurrent character in the Bible. The fool is the epitome of everything that God despises.”
