Wondering who can help, who can stop them from spurring the journey, who can stop them from turning, turns to God and he says, what do I pray in a time like this? See, I know that in those hills, Zion rests the temple of Yahweh, the God of Israel, and I know I'm like these Gentile polytheists and the animus around me. I know that there's only one God, and I know that God is responsible for the entire universe. See if there's any trouble that might come my way, as I pilgrim through these hills, I can pray and I can trust the God who actually made the hills. He made those hills and he made the hills further still in heaven by his word, by his holy debar. God made the mountains I'm going to travel. He resides in a special way amongst those who worship him on the holy temple. Mountain top. I have to get there. I must get there. See each pilgrim knows that a rugged journey awaits them, but they can rest assured that the Creator can be of assistance. God is watching. God will help those who trust in Him. God will help those who seek Him, who pilgrimage after Him.”Browse the full sermon archive →
