The Suffering of Job (Sheridan Park Family Church)

“Now, some people say, easy for Job to say, he got all his kids back and his family back and everything. My argument back to that is, does that really fix the pain? … No. Job still has the scars of his family lost, but God can still give hope that even though you went through that suffering, you can still have joy again. It'll be a new joy. It'll be a joy with a lot more understanding of the possibility of suffering and the reality of suffering, but it'll be a joy nonetheless. This is why we have hope when things break, relationships break, families break, jobs are lost. There's hope that it will come again, and if not in this lifetime, in the future lifetime.”
