The Forgetful Church

“We can be really strong in our theology, but do we really love Christ? I mean, this is what the Pharisees had. They had great theology. Well, they missed Christ inside, but they got, they got a lot of it right. … I think they got a lot of things correct, but they were full of ego. They had no love in their hearts. Why? Because they didn't, they didn't love Jesus. As soon as you love Jesus, then your hearts are so opened up, you love other people. So that's why it's more important, I'd say, to love Jesus than it is even to get your teaching right. OK, the first teaching you need to get right is love Jesus first. That's it. It's so important. Otherwise we turn into these judgmental people that, I mean, honestly, in our culture, Christian, the word Christian is synonymous with what? Hypocrite, judgmental.”
