The Breastplate and the Sandals

And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
— Ephesians 6:15
“The end of the day, ask the Lord to show you where he was during — a — day, and then ask him to show you where it was that you could have acted differently — where you could have brought peace into a situation; where you could have protected your heart, and not allowed fear or shame or any of these other things to pierce through. And then allow God to show you — and then confess it. And when you confess it, you're polishing off your armour; you're cleaning up your armour. We need to put on the armour. Notice that we have something to do. We can do it. It says to be ready. Readiness and steadiness will help us get ahead of this. This is what God is calling us to. We can't fear. We need to be wise. We need to put on the proper protection for our actions. And if we do, we recognize we're going to stand. And if we fall, get up and stand again. Spiritual warfare is about being ready with the proper tools. We should expect attacks. Don't worry about the attacks. Expect them. There is an enemy seeking to devour. He hates humanity. He hates the church even more. He wants to do as much damage to us as he can. Our job is to be prepared, and withstand. We have the tools at our hands. Let's social distance ourselves from the devil. He's infected, but we're protected.”
