The Deeper Life

“When we have the deeper life, it always bubbles over. It always results in God's love going into more people. If you are running on all cylinders as a Christian, it will be infectious. You will be loving people naturally, out of the life of Christ within you. If we don't find ourselves more loving this year than last, we need to ask ourselves: where is the depth of the love of God in my life? Have I really been fixing my eyes on Jesus? Or have I been mentally assenting to a truth, rather than in relationship with the Truth himself? When I'm truly fixed on Jesus, the deeper life wells up within. It is a groundswell of love and goodness that cannot be held back. This is what God wants in our lives. Deeper life for mission.”
