Hosea: A Love Story
“This is a story that God is using to help us understand his love for us, and the reason he does this is because God wants us to understand in the ugly messes of humanity how he relates to us. If we didn't understand the story of Hosea and how this relates to how God loves us, we probably wouldn't understand the great immensity of God's love, would we? God is real, he deals with real pain. He uses the reality of our broken humanity to help us know him better, and so I just pray that we would all realize how fiercely God loves us. The fact that he chases us down wherever we're going to get away from him, he's going to relentlessly pursue you with his love, and so maybe you're in a place right now where you're back and away and you're just, realize he's knocking at the door right now. … He wants to love you more and more. He wants to get to know you more and more. … Let's accept his love. Let's get to know him. He wants to know you better. Let his passion take you to Olympic heights and let you recognize your own part in this epic love story.”Browse the full sermon archive →
