Dec 29 2013 - Repent Before New Year

“One degree is a lot in the course of a lifetime. A journey of a lifetime, one degree will get you really far from Christ, and so what we need to recognize is that Christ is always calling us back to just course. … And that's our repentance, turning our lives back to look at Christ and to follow Christ. … And I'm gonna point out that I believe that if we do that, our mission to those around us will be much more powerful than we could ever imagine. So Jesus calls us to this repentance, and this is part of how He launches His mission, and it's not just for our future, it's for our present. It's not just grand atonement on the grand scale, which it is, but it's also daily living with Christ, and the key to this I believe is recognizing the Holy Spirit through repentance works on our conscience, cleanses our conscience. … And we need to listen to our conscience in order to turn back to repentance, to turn towards Christ in a direct line again. This is an amazing thing to me because Christians often forget that we can live a life with a good and a clean and a pure conscience. So many Christians just live a life feeling guilty.”
