St Stephen - Acts 6-8

“We're not saying that God needs you to do his kingdom. Like, if you don't do this little piece, the kingdom of God will crumble. No, when we talk about doing the kingdom, what we're saying is that God decided in his infinite wisdom that he wanted to use people, and so that means that people are going to be the means of God's kingdom being shown on earth. And that means he wants you to be part of it. Now, if you decide, no, guess what? The kingdom's still going to happen. But God wants to give you the pleasure of being part of the kingdom of God and showing it to the world. So God needs people to do the kingdom in a sense that he's decided to use people, and he wants you to be part of this worldwide movement. He's asking you for. So make no mistake. The kingdom of heaven will be done, just as it's prayed. It'll come, and God will use us if we allow him to. And how do we do that? We allow ourselves to be taken by Spirit and used. But we're called to be doing and saying and being and feeling the kingdom of Jesus Christ.”
