The Problem of Good

Flip the problem of evil on its head: what if there's too much good in the world for pure naturalism to explain? Here's where that argument actually leads.

“As soon as you say there's too much evil, you've now acknowledged the existence of good — and then what is good, the only source of goodness is God — you've opened the door for C.S. Lewis's moral argument to come in: evil implies good, good implies a moral absolute, a moral absolute implies a creator of that moral absolute, therefore God. Not necessarily the full Christian God this route — maybe Plato's the One, the Good, the True, the Beautiful — but some kind of divine being.”
