The Groundswell Sessions
7 sermons by Rev. Dr. Cyril Guerette in the series The Groundswell Sessions, preached 2018, with audio and a quote from each.
The Groundswell Sessions began as a small group of people gathering simply to discern what God had next for them. What was meant to be just two meetings turned into something more, as people kept coming back wanting to go deeper. Together we listened for God’s direction in prayer, worship, and the Word — and as we began to see what God was doing among us, the Christian and Missionary Alliance came alongside to help discern whether we were being called to plant a new church in Burlington, Ontario. That season of discernment became the founding story of The Groundswell Church, built around the values that would come to define it: Called of God, Fixed on Jesus, Inspired by the Spirit, Grounded in Scripture, and Formed through Community.
