Sermon series
Formed by Community
2 sermons by Rev. Dr. Cyril Guerette in the series Formed by Community, preached 2019, with audio and a quote from each.
The Christian life cannot be a solitary life and be effective. Jesus purposefully called his disciples to live and work together in Community. The Kingdom of God is a vision of a people working together in peace and unity. Although community can be difficult and messy at times, there is a beauty that transcends our collective weaknesses and shows Christ to our culture when we learn to truly live one another. Both discipleship and mission need community to mature and develop. In a time when there is a growing hatred of the church, it is more important than ever to love the Body of Christ despite its blemishes. In the complexity of a variety of personalities coming together, God is seen in his glory. To follow Jesus, I need you and you need me.
