A Quiet Life (1 Thess 4:9-12)

“Each of these little lights that shines, we get to reflect the light of Christ, and some lights maybe a little bit brighter at a given moment. But that's not what the beauty is. It's how beautiful that one light was for that one millisecond. It was look at the beautiful lights of how they just flash. … And I don't know exactly what's happening, but He creates these patterns, and He's creating a pattern with your life, individually as a light that reflects Christ, but also together as a church called New Life, and as a church called the Church of Toronto, and the Church of Ontario, Church of Canada, Church of the World. This is how He operates. He knows how your little light flickering for one millisecond of history is part of the big beautiful picture of the skintillation of salvation. It hit me. I was almost weeping at that moment. I was just saying, I'm just one of those lights, and that's all right. In fact, that is beautiful. It releases me from so much pressure. I just want to live a quiet light and be a quiet light and be a light of Christ, and that will suffice.”
