Co-heirs with Christ

Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

What? Being part of the royal family means I suffer. I thought it meant I sat on a throne — and I was, like — telling people to give me drinks, and stuff. You're, like — wait a second — maybe I am part of the royal family. I suffer. Do you see that? How do you know you're part of the family? … Do you suffer? Have you suffered?”
