Reflecting Perfection Part 1: Grace & Forgiveness

“It's not just that he's forgiving Peter. It's how he's doing it. First, he's forgiving Peter publicly. In a way that was unmistakable. Everyone else gets to hear it. He had already forgiven Peter. He showed up in his presence. He knew Peter had come to the tomb, but Peter hadn't been able to bring himself to the place to ask for forgiveness. So Jesus took the first step in reaching out. Sometimes we need to reach out to the person who needs to be forgiven. This takes courage. It takes a new heart. It takes the Holy Spirit, a supernatural power. Jesus shows that when we truly reflect him, we'll be able to go after others who need our forgiveness.”
