Resurrection Life: Resurrection Rejection

“Some people want to mythologize the resurrection and make it more about, oh you live a better life. As soon as you say Jesus you have a happier life here and now, and guess what friends? I believe that through the power of the Holy Spirit, your life is better off for having Jesus in it. But the reality is that you may die in this life. You're not going to live forever but you will live forever once you're resurrected, and this is the hope of the church. The hope isn't to somehow escape the physical and disappear into some netherland. We are believing that our bodies are coming back to life and they'll be even better than they were before. That's the Christian hope.”
