Built by God

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts.
— Ephesians 2:1–10
“Maybe one of us gets the cubicle over here. He's building up this thing, and we're part of that. So the good works are not about me trying to get to God. It's about God getting to others, through me, and using me. And I am saved in grace. Everything is grace. Everything is gravy. Everything is gracey. This world is imbued with the grace of Christ if you open your hands to him. If you receive that gift that he's offering to us. And as we receive it, then we're able to look at the design that he's doing. And guess what? … He's given you a special gift. He's made you unique in certain areas, giving you gifts that he wants to be used in concert. … But as we are built up together as a church, we're able to use our gifts in that place. Some people are helping set up communion. Some people are serving in worship. Some people are greeting at the doors. Some people are in leadership. Some people are teaching.”
