Philemon

“Another thing I think is speaking up on behalf of a brother, Paul spoke up. Hey, wait a second. Be able to step in and be an agent of reconciliation. Are we actually peacemakers in that sense? … We need to make sure we keep looking for the radical implications of the gospel in our lives. In our church and our community. It's there. It's real. It's going to take time. It's not easy. But we can't fall into hatred. Because that hatred starts to trap us, Or even anger or just like just frustration. These things trap us and Christ is about freedom. That's what this is all about. This gospel says, we need freedom, and Jesus is the author of that freedom. Slaves are free, and we're free from our fears, from our prejudice. We can be freed from our hurts, our longings, all these things that capture us. God wants to free us.”
