Passion for the World - Philip (Acts 8)
“At Antioch, they're first called Christians. At Antioch, they're the first multi-ethnic church. At Antioch, they're the first missionary-sending church. They send out Paul and Barnabas to start to spread the word. Isn't this beautiful? Just because of his response. Because Philip responds to the gospel in this way that so much more than he could imagine comes out of it. It's just his own personal response to his passion for Jesus transforming the world. Philip listens to this divine guidance. He hears from God and he acts on it, and the gospel goes to Africa. And I really believe it's really important for us to listen to the voice of the Spirit in our life and to be obedient to it, and we hear God speak to us, that we act on that, we move in that, but to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.”Browse the full sermon archive →
