The Nature of the Body: Unity in Diversity - 1 Cor. 12:12-26

“God has placed you just where he wants you to be. … If there were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there's many parts but one body. If you weren't here, if you weren't part of the body of Christ, something would be missing. God has you exactly where he wants you to be. … That's a powerful thing. You can just start where you are and go, I can start from this place and recognize that God has me where he wants me and he can do with me what he needs from me. There's a reason here and God loves the diverse. He loves you and all your weirdness is. He loves the church and all its difference and he wants to unify the church. Diversity and the beauty. The eye can't say at the hand, I don't need you and the head cannot say to the feet. I don't need you. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are actually indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable, we treat with special honor. And the parts that are un-presentable are treated with special modesty while our presentable parts need no special treatment.”
