Mark 4 26-34 - Fathers Day

“We have to see God as a loving father. First and foremost is Jesus' main image from understanding God. … And we talked about that, and I want to make sure that we understand why God has revealed his truth in this name of the Father. Now, the few things that he's made very clear about when he's saying this to us, that our Father in heaven needs to be asked. Ask for the things that we need. We need to count on our dad to take care of us, and notice the three imperative commands. … We're commanded to ask, to seek, to knock. You can't get it if you don't ask. To ask is the task. … God has wanted to respond always to any movement you make towards Him. He's in the habit of opening doors.”
