Habakkuk
An ancient prophecy is made new, just in time to speak to our divided political climate. Fresh off his Covenant Award-winning collaboration with gospel stalwart Drew Brown, the veteran emcee, pastor, and university professor, ILL SEER literally spits scripture over atmospheric production by underground hip-hop legend Theory Hazit. The ancient Hebrew prophet Habakkuk brought a message of judgment to his religious community for their injustice, and received a disturbing reply from the Divine that an Evil Empire would be used to crush them. This hard-hitting paRAPhrase brings a Prophetic Poetic voice of warning and hope to a Western culture in confusion and disillusion.
